You are not special.
I have a problem with you having a problem.
You see, I am a ‘fixer’.
I am one of those people who like to ‘fix’ people, help people and be a support to them. I feel guilty if I can’t help them and find it hard to ignore plights that I see/hear.
And as I know you are still reading, you are too. You get it.
And that’s the problem.
You are the problem.
I am the problem.
Us looking after peoples problems, are the problem.
Should I stop using that word yet? I think you get the picture…yes?
We put others first and then forget ourselves.
You forget that you have needs. You have wants.
You put yourself last. You forget about your health… in fact you are so used to not putting your health first – you have forgotten how.
You have forgotten the steps to remember.
Taking on all this is not another problem to add to the list. Simply recognise it for what it is – and change something.
It could be getting up 20 mins earlier for some ‘me’ time with a cuppa and thinking about what your intentions are for the day.
It could be going for that walk you have been meaning to ‘fit in’.
Thats okay. Just JFDI it.
No beating yourself up about NOT doing it. Just effin’ DO IT.
You are human.
That is the real problem.
You have feelings, you have self destructive thoughts.
You are normal.
Stop feeling like you are special. You are not.
Now don’t get me wrong. Yes you are unique. But there is nothing special about your thoughts and feelings.
WE ALL HAVE THEM.
JDFI and move forward.
Stop sitting in ‘I should have…’ ‘I could have…’ ‘I would have…’ ‘I wish I could have…’
Stop it now.
What a waste of energy.
Put that energy into putting yourself first.
Because if you weren’t around, who could help people with their problems?
